Our Hong Kong Experience - Day 4 - Macau

We woke up particularly early today, coz we wanted to go for DIM SUM breakfast at Lin Heung Lau - a very old restaurant in Sheung Wan (read that its always very packed). Manage to find it by asking around, coz too many small lanes around. As expected, its fully packed!

One of the waiters seated us with 4 other different groups of people in one table. Suppose be to usual, but not for me. Chinese tea is served in a tea cup with lid, instead of tea pot. Cool old style. Didn’t know well of the dim sum that they served, so, we just ordered a few which we knew off. We read that we must try is the LIN-YUNG-BAO (lotus paste bun), so, I ordered one. There is a salted egg yolk inside, so, basically it tasted very much like our mooncake la. Its kinda too sweet for me. Hubby especially enjoyed the PIG STOMACH SUI MAI. I don’t fancy “spare parts” so, SKIP!

~after breakfast, walked small lanes in Central

Walked back to the ferry terminus in Sheung Wan, and manage to catch 10 am ferry to MACAU. We went to TAIPA and took to the Cotai Strip ferry at HKD 134.00...per person okay.
After reaching there, we boarded free shuttle bus to the VENETIAN. The buildings were beautiful…..Piau Liang lah! Took some photos around, and then we took a cab to Tai San Pa – the Ruins of St. Paul.

We were hungry but cannot find any restaurant around! AIYO, so, we settled for one of the stalls selling ZHU-PA-BAO (Pork rib burger) and Portugese Egg Tart. Not my type of food…hehe… Nothing much to do around there, a lot of shops selling local delights – Yuk-gon (dried meat), peanut candy, meat floss candy, etc. We bought some to bring home, then took a cab back to the ferry terminal.

~ruins of st.paul....weather very hot!
We got up the 4pm ferry back to Kowloon, Tsim Sha Tsui, cost us HKD 140. The bag of “Macao delights” was too heavy to bring around, so, we got back to hotel by MTR to drop our things and freshen up abit.

~back to HONG KONG!
We went back to Hong Kong, Central to look out for another restaurant in our list, Mak’s noodle- selling Wan Tan Mee. Easily found it, coz quiet near to where we had our breakfast. Taste great, but I think its slightly overpriced. There is restaurant selling similar things just opposite, packed with people, but this MAK’s noodle has only half shop occupied. I think should be the pricing, which is like almost double!

After dinner, we walked around Central to see SOHO, Mid-Level Escalator, Former Police Station, and ended up at Lan Kwai Fong again. Drinking again lo! J

Cannot resist dessert in Hong Kong, we went for another round of dessert at HONEYMOON Dessert in IFC mall, near Central MTR. Its good, hmm....but I still prefer LUCKY DESSERT in Mongkok. After that, we took MTR to JORDON and started our walk from Temple Street straight up back to Ladies Street in Mongkok.

Walk so much, sure hungry lah! SUPPER TIME! We had porridge in Mongkok. SUPER LER! Hong Kong is all about eating…..and WALKING! Ordered one bowl of Teng-Zai-Chuk (porridge) and one Zha-leong (Fried dough wrap in rice roll). YUM Yum!

Super tiring day, back in hotel pass midnite…..Cannot wait till the next day is, coz we saved the best for the last....SHOPPING in Hong Kong Day! So…must get rest…! Zzzzzz.....zZz....
