a mom's free time.

Year end school holidays is here...can't believe Bryan had been going to kindi for a year now.

Mommy in law brought Bryan back to Kuantan to spend a week there with his grandnies...Big boy already, have to bluff his way to the bus stop liao. Mommy have to go to work - while actually hiding by the pool side, then daddy fetched his and grandma to the bus stop. I foresee alot of problem of getting on the bus if I'm there....so, no choice la...have to lie lo... :( Daddy also have to do his trick, telling him daddy go toilet...I guess our boy is just over attached to us...but on second thought, all children are la! Rite?!

Anyway, they arrived safely in Kuantan, and I believe he enjoyed the bus ride. Talked to him over the phone on the same night, and he seems to be enjoying being there...so, relief...!

I'm missing him awfully lot now....(now i think I'm more attached to him!) Practically thinking of him most of the time....gotta look for distractions to take my mind off my little darling now. Its not often I get free time like this...better make good use of it and enjoy myself....

However, I look forward to next Sunday.....

I Miss Hong Kong...

Almost getting to 2 months since back from Hong Kong... time flies. I wish to have the chance to make my second visit soon...Would suggest a 10 days trip if you are there the first time, my 6 days trip simply not enough.

My hubby and I did alot of studies of this great city before getting there. I did my research on when and where to go...while hubby focused more on where to eat.

As promised, here are the links which we find very useful during our planning...

Official Website - Hong Kong Tourism Board http://www.discoverhongkong.com.hk/eng/index.jsp
This websites has TONNES of information which are very useful for visitors. Must spend time to view each and every contents offered in this website. From weather to hotels, itenary planner, location maps, just name it, they have it.
For these informations, you may also check out : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/539412

Great advise on hotels
http://www.tripadvisor.com/
If you need tips about your selection of hotels, check this out. Real people, real review, real PHOTOs...not like those professional photos on the official hotel website.

Great advise on places to eat in Hong Kong, and also MACAU included.
http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/index.htm - MUST SEE!
One thing about this web is that its only in Chinese version...I can't read chinese, so hubby did all his study on this web. From selection of food range, members rates the restaurants thus the ranking. Restaurant name, address, photos and maps are provided...some even with opening hours.

MTR - easy travel in Hong Kong.
http://www.mtr.com.hk/
Do get their octopus card there. So convinient!

Some Major Attractions...

Hong Kong Disneyland :http://park.hongkongdisneyland.com/

The Peak Hong Kong : http://www.thepeak.com.hk/full/en/index.php

Lantau Island : http://www.np360.com.hk/

Also, when you reached Hong Kong airport, they have this nicely setup tourist info counter, with loads of info for u to take! Something you won't and should not MISS!

Our Hong Kong Experience – DAY 6 – BYE BYE HONG KONG…

Hu…HU….Go back lo!!!!

5 days pass by just too fast! But at the same time, I’m glad that I’ll be seeing Bryan boy soon… missed him so so much lah! So looking forward to shower him with all the gifts we bought for him! Haha. He loves Donald and Mickey...as all kids does, so, HAPPY BRYAN here we come!

Our flight balik Malaysia is 11.35am, so we had to check in 9.30am. We decided to reach the airport earlier so that we can have our breakfast there, PLUS! Last MINUTE shopping. I bought a swiss roll from Kei Wah Bakery, so, took it as a quick breakfast in the room. A very nice staff of the hotel advised us to take a cab to the airport (more cost efficient for 2 ppl..) Cab fare is HKD 280.00 and reach the airport around 8 plus. Nice journey also... :)

Quite difficult to choose wat we wanted to have for breakfast in airport, coz got a few selections lah.... Anyway, we are in Hong Kong mah...so, we decided to have Dim Sum again lo. I forgot the restaurant name liao, but they were having promotion on Dim Sum... 40% off! Not bad lah…. Just need to wait for a while for the dim sum…maybe too many people. The DimSum not as good as the previous ones we had, but still nice.... yummy!

After breakfast already 9 plus, so we proceeded to check-in. Wow, people que up already....lucky not very long....but still a waste of time...if not i would have more time to do my last minute shopping mah rite! After that have to walk to departure hall, damn far also!

Duty Free shopping also best! My last minute shopping REallY ReWarDing! I manage to buy myself a bag which model ran out of stock in Hong Kong island!!! YEAY!!!!

Well...Bye bye Hong Kong! I'll miss you....I really WILL!!! and…I’ll be BACK! (this round with slippers! )

Our Hong Kong Experience - Day 5 - SHOP SHOP SHOP!

Wowee!!! I’ve waited for this day…..Major shopping in Hong kong....my target: Citygate - located at Tung Chung.

To save time looking, we just stopped by a restaurant on our way to MTR for breakfast. We tried out their Breakfast Set, comes with a drink, toast with sunny side up egg with ham or hotdog and one main course. Cannot…Tak Boleh! Not nice! Worst breakfast I had in Hong Kong…lesson is : Eat only in restaurant recommended! Ha-ha….Luckily we did our homework before our trip, so we get to choose the places to eat which is highly recommended by the patrons. ! I’ll post up the links on websites to visit for information later on.

~A-chan...B-chan.....C-chan....
~lai cha....milk tea. notice the crack at the cup?!

We made a quick stop at Wong Tai Sin temple coz still early. Although the MTR stop is out of the way, but getting there is rather simple. The temple just outside the station... We kena CON by some grandpopo to buy jo-sticks.Kekkeke...long story. But they are good ler! Old but smart! The temple is under renovation, but still looks nice.

My selection was Teriyaki Beef Rice, while Hubby tried Taiwanese food….Some pork dish with rice…We realized that we haven’t have rice for a few days liao….

~set lunch at food court.

~my set. Fusion meal.

After few hours of shopping, we took MTR to Central – walked about 20 mins to the see the Golden Bauhinia Square, nearby the Hong Kong Convention Centre. By that time, I cannot feel my feet liao. Honestly, I wished I have brought my slippers with me….Dun care how i Look liao.....

~Golden Bauhinia...

~nice view of kowloon, HK.

~convention centre.
We initially planned to get back to hotel first before taking dinner….but I am just too tired to walk back and forth. So, we changed our plan, went straight to Mongkok. Bought the “Lou-po” biscuit to bring home, then we had our dinner at Little Sheep Steamboat.
It was nice, but we ordered too much food! The waiter should have told us that it all comes in big portions….Haiyo…cannot finish…too full… I was planning to go Lucky Dessert again, but am too full to eat more. Both hands full of bags, super tired legs and foot and over filled stomach, I cannot walk anymore. We took a cab back to the hotel, although it’s just a few streets away. Hehe….ok la…just pay HKD 18.00 for the ride. OK rite!

We got back to our room around 9 pm and started packing. Tomolo go back lo....but i am so looking forward to get home coz i miss my little boy too much liao. Well... although tired, packing is still fun for me!

~cute sheep, expensive steamboat.

~soup base..one hot, one normal. Soup base is nice.

~see how much we over ordered?! I blame the waiter
